Many privacy discussions follow a similar pattern and involve the same kinds of arguments. It’s common to hear that privacy is dead, or that people — especially kids — don’t care about privacy. Such claims are myths, says Neil M. Richards, JD, privacy law expert and WUSTL professor. But they distract from the important conversation needed on privacy in the digital age, he says.
